JLON supplies good quality and cost-effective composites for worldwide FRP boat builders. Our materials are used in luxury yachts, leisure boats, and catamarans, along with versatile passenger vessels and workboats such as customs boats, ferries, water taxies, minesweepers, high end fishing boats.
Suitable for hand lay-up process and vacuum bagging process.
Core Materials for Marine
Close cell Structural Foam has excellent stiffness, strength, compression, tension, shear, bending and other mechanical properties. It can greatly enhance the mechanical properties while hardly increasing the weight. It is an ideal sandwich composite material and has been widely used in manufacture of FRP ships.
Fiberglass has a low density, high strength, excellent corrosion resistance, and is easy to process into different shapes. It is widely used in the shipbuilding industry. Jlon supplies varieties of fiberglass materials for FRP ship builders with hand lay up and vacuum infusion process.
JLON has complete range of specifications carbon fiber. Our experience allows us to provide you with a professional and customised service and a smooth trading experience.
JLON supplies full range of FRP tools, including bristle rollers,Aluminum paddle rollers Aluminum corner rollers...
Resins for Marine
JLON’s marine resins mainly include epoxy resins, unsaturated polyester resins and vinyl resins.
Epoxy resin has high strength, high rigidity and excellent corrosion resistance, especially when used underwater. It is mainly used in the manufacture of ship shells and structural components, such as hull plates, decks, ballast tanks and so on.
Unsaturated polyester resin is widely used in the construction of glass fibre reinforced plastic (FRP) fishing boats, it has a certain degree of corrosion resistance and mechanical strength, the construction is relatively simple, the price is low.
Vinyl resin is more commonly used in the construction of fishing boats, with high strength, high elongation, low density, low water permeability and corrosion resistance.
Q What density should I choose for my application?
ADensity selection depends on application conditions and processing requirements. Reference data and technical support are available to assist your evaluation.
Q Are fire-retardant grades available?
AFlame-retardant, generally self-extinguishing when removed from the flame, B2 grade.
Q Can PVC foam core be thermoformed?
AYes, PVC foam core can be thermoformed within its recommended temperature range.
Q Which resin systems are compatible with PVC foam core?
APVC foam core is compatible with polyester, vinyl ester, epoxy, and polyurethane resins.
Q Is PVC foam core waterproof?
APVC foam core has a closed-cell structure with low water absorption, making it suitable for marine and humid environments.
