Polyester Breather is used during vacuum infusion to allow for the even removal of air from a vacuum bagged composite part, as well being used as an infusion resin brake. With a weight of 10oz Breather cloth can be used at pressures up to 200PSI (13.8 Bar) , and also has the benefit of being multi-directionally comformable. This means that it can be used in even the most complex infusion layups, while still being easy enough for a beginner at infusions to use. Our breather does not contain any binders that could block off the flow of air or otherwise negatively impact your vacuum infusion.

One of the most important features of polyester breather is its porosity. The fabric allows for controlled airflow, which is essential for directing the vacuum force and resin flow evenly through the mold. The higher the porosity, the better the airflow and the faster the infusion.
Polyester is well-known for its durability. Polyester breather fabrics can withstand high pressures and repetitive use without degrading, making them a long-term investment for manufacturers.
Given that the infusion process often involves exposure to various resins and chemicals, polyester breather fabrics are specifically designed to resist these substances, ensuring that they don’t degrade or weaken during the infusion process.
Polyester breather fabric is widely used across a range of industries, and here’s how:
Polyester breather is often used in the marine industry to produce lightweight, durable parts for boats and yachts. The vacuum infusion process ensures that the composite materials are both strong and resistant to water damage.
In the automotive industry, polyester breather helps in creating lightweight parts for cars and trucks, contributing to overall fuel efficiency and performance.
In aerospace applications, every part must meet strict standards for safety, weight, and durability. Polyester breather ensures high-quality results when infusing resin into carbon fiber or fiberglass for aircraft parts.
Wind turbine blades require large, strong composite materials. Polyester breather fabric helps create uniform, strong blades for maximum efficiency and durability.
Polyester breather fabric speeds up the infusion process by ensuring consistent airflow and resin absorption. This can result in a faster production cycle.
Although the initial cost may seem high, polyester breather is a reusable material that helps lower production costs in the long run.
The even distribution of resin and airflow facilitated by polyester breather ensures that the final product is of the highest quality.
A: Yes, We usually discuss with customers and help them find solutions.
A: Usually a sample will be prepared within one week after specification agreed.
A: Usually around 2-3 weeks after order confirmed. Exact delivery time depends on order quantity and Off-season/ busy season.
A: Offer TDS of each lot of production for confirmation before delivery.Once you have any quality problem, you can provide samples /pictures /test data. With our quality tracking system, we will give you feedback in short time. If the quality problem confirmed,we will send you replacement or make refund as you like.
