Twintex fabric, also called EPP60 fabric is a fabric made of roving which commingled E-glass and polypropylene filaments.
Consolidation is done by heating above melting temperature of PP matrix (180°C-230°C / 360°F-450°F) and applying a low pressure (1-30 bars), before cooling step under pressure.
According to the size of series, the product processings are:
•Vacuum molding
•Diaphragm
•Calendering
It is a unique and ready-to-use thermoplastics glass reinforcement designed for high mechanical properties, such as excellent stiffness/weight ratio and superior impact properties. EPP60 fabric also provides with efficient and environmental friendly process conditions, high freedom of design and is recyclable. EPP60 products are made of commingled High Performance Glass and thermoplastic filaments. Direct Roving is the base material for the whole EPP60 product line, and can be provided with Polypropylene Matrix (PP) and PET matrix.

The twintex fabric itself contains thermoplastic pp filaments that do not need to be impregnated with other resins and can be used directly by heating at high temperatures.

Epp60 fabric mainly made with honeycomb panels to make lightweight panels that can be used for camping caravans, trucks and other body parts. Mainly used for car insulation boards, partition boards.
