The Composition of Carbon Fiber Fabric



Carbon fiber fabric is primarily made from a polymer called polyacrylonitrile (PAN), though other materials like pitch and rayon can also be used. The PAN is subjected to high heat in a controlled environment to create the carbon filaments that form the fabric.
