Perforated and non-perforated options are available to suit resin bleed and surface requirements. Select the film according to the resin system, curing temperature and cycle.

Standard Release Films
Release film options rated up to 160°C, subject to grade specifications.

High-Temperature Release Films
ETFE and FEP release film options for higher-temperature processing. Consult the product specifications to select the appropriate grade.

Peel Ply

Peel Ply

Peel ply is placed directly over the composite laminate. After removal, it leaves a clean, textured surface suitable for secondary bonding, coating or further processing.

Nylon and polyester peel ply are available in different weights, widths and colors for vacuum infusion and composite molding.

Products may include:
•Nylon Peel Ply
•Polyester Peel Ply
•White Peel Ply
•Green Peel Ply

High-Temperature-Sealant-Tape-for-Vacuum-Bag

Sealant Tape

Vacuum bag sealant tape is used to bond the bagging film to the mold and maintain an airtight vacuum seal. It provides good tack, flexibility and sealing performance during processing.

Different formulations are available according to processing temperature, mold surface and removal requirements.

JLON supplies different tube structures for general composite molding and large-scale applications such as wind turbine blades.

Products may include:
•Spiral Tube
•PE Flow Hose
•Perforated Omega Tube
•Omega Tube with Base Plate
•Wind Blade Infusion Tube

infusion mesh 01

Infusion Flow Mesh

Infusion flow mesh, also called resin flow media, helps resin move quickly and evenly across the laminate during vacuum infusion.

Different mesh structures and flow rates are available for small composite parts, marine structures, wind turbine blades and other large components.

Products may include:
•Green Infusion Mesh
•High-Flow Infusion Mesh
•Resin Flow Media

Breather Fabric

Breather fabric provides a continuous airflow path under the vacuum bag and helps distribute vacuum pressure across the laminate.

It can also absorb excess resin in vacuum bagging and prepreg processing. Different weights, thicknesses and temperature resistance levels are available.

Products may include:
•Polyester Breather
•High-Temperature Breather
•Breather and Bleeder Fabric

Infusion Resin Feeder-1

Resin Infusion Accessories

Resin infusion accessories help introduce resin into the laminate and connect resin feed or vacuum lines during the infusion process. They simplify system setup and support controlled resin distribution.

Different connectors and resin feed components can be supplied according to tube size and infusion layout.

Products may include:
•Resin Feed Port
•Resin Infusion Connector
•Resin Inlet
•Vacuum Connector

VAP membrane for prepreg vacuum process

VAP Membrane

VAP membrane is a semi-permeable membrane used in advanced vacuum-assisted composite processing. It allows air and gases to be extracted while helping prevent liquid resin from entering the vacuum line.

The membrane supports uniform vacuum distribution and can reduce the risk of dry spots, air entrapment and excess resin entering the vacuum system.

Products may include:
•VAP Membrane
•Integrated VAP System
•Air Extraction Bag

How Vacuum Infusion Consumables Work Together

Vacuum infusion consumables work as a complete system. Peel ply and release film control the laminate surface, while infusion mesh and tubes distribute resin. Bagging film and sealant tape create and maintain the airtight vacuum environment required for successful infusion.

A typical vacuum infusion setup may include the following layers and components:
1. Mold                                                 2. Reinforcement and core material
3. Peel ply                                            4. Release film
5. Infusion flow mesh                            6. Resin feed and vacuum tubes
7. Breather fabric, when required            8. Vacuum bagging film
9. Sealant tape

Vacuum Infusion Consumable FAQ

  • Q What materials are required for vacuum infusion?

A A typical vacuum infusion setup may include peel ply, release film, infusion mesh, resin feed tubes, vacuum tubes, sealant tape and vacuum bagging film. The exact combination depends on the laminate structure, resin system and infusion layout.

  • Q How do I select the right vacuum bagging film?

A The main factors include processing temperature, film elongation, thickness, width and compatibility with the resin and curing process. PE film is commonly used for standard-temperature infusion, while nylon film is suitable for higher processing temperatures.

  • Q What is the difference between peel ply and release film?

A Peel ply is placed against the laminate and leaves a textured surface after removal. Release film separates the laminate or peel ply from breather and other consumables and may be perforated to control resin bleed and airflow.

  • Q How do I choose an infusion mesh?

A The selection depends on part size, resin viscosity, laminate permeability and the required infusion speed. A higher-flow mesh can accelerate resin distribution, but the infusion layout must be designed carefully to avoid premature resin arrival or trapped air.

  • Q What is the difference between perforated and non-perforated release film?

A Perforated release film allows controlled airflow or resin bleed through the film. Non-perforated release film creates a stronger separation barrier and prevents resin from passing through. The appropriate option depends on the molding and curing process.

  • Q Can JLON supply a complete vacuum infusion consumables package?

A Yes. JLON can combine bagging film, peel ply, sealant tape, tubing, flow mesh, breather, release film and related accessories according to the customer’s production requirements.

  • Q Can vacuum infusion consumables be supplied with reinforcement and core materials?

A Yes. JLON can supply vacuum infusion consumables together with fiberglass fabrics, carbon fiber fabrics, PVC foam, PET foam and other composite core materials.
