FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Polymer) Profiles are structural shapes manufactured using the pultrusion process. They offer superior strength-to-weight ratios and outstanding resistance to corrosion, chemicals, and harsh environments.FRP profiles are advanced composite materials crafted through a precise pultrusion process, combining fiberglass with resin to create lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and strong structural components.
a.Stylish Surfaces
JLON FRP profiles choose from wood grain, ceramic patterns, and more with our colored polyester veil finishes. Stand out with sophistication and style!
Here below are some of patterns for you to choose. Please contact for more.

b. Unparalleled durability
Our polyester veil is one-piece and fully bonded with resin, ensuring that the product will not peel or crack, and has a longer service life.
c.Superior Weather Resistance
Crafted with high-quality resin and TBPB, our profiles maintain their color and integrity far longer than standard materials.
Innovative manufacturing leaves JLON FRP/GRP pultrusion profiles with nearly invisible seams, enhancing both aesthetics and longevity.

Definition and Overview
FRP Pultrusion Profiles are a type of fiber-reinforced composite material that is continuously formed through the pultrusion process. They have excellent properties such as light weight, high strength, corrosion resistance, and insulation. They are widely used in construction, electricity, transportation, and other fields.
The Pultrusion Process
Pultrusion process begins with continuous glass fibers being fed through a resin bath, where they are fully impregnated with resin. The wet fibers then pass through a preforming guide before entering a heated steel die, where high temperature and pressure cure the resin into a rigid profile. The cured fiber-reinforced polymer is continuously pulled by a hydraulic or mechanical system, and finally cut to the desired length.
High strength/lightweight
The tensile strength is close to that of steel, and it is light (density 1.5-2.0g/cm³), making it easy to install.
Resistant to acid, alkali, salt spray, and moisture, with a service life of more than 20 years (far longer than metal).
Suitable for power equipment (such as insulating ladders and cable trays).
The mold can be customized with complex cross-sections (I-shaped, round tubes, etc.), and surface patterns and colors can be adjusted.
No anti-corrosion treatment is required, reducing long-term maintenance costs.
While traditional materials like steel, aluminum, and plastics have long dominated structural applications, Composite profiles offer unparalleled advantages that make them the superior choice for modern engineering challenges.
Item | FRP Profile | Steel Profile |
Weight | Light(1/4 of steel) | Heavy |
Corrosion Resistance | Excellent | Poor |
Cost Efficiency | High | Moderate(maintenance cost high) |
Designability | High | Limited |
Strength | High in axis direction | High in all directions |
The test results show that the load-bearing capacity of GRP pultrusion profiles is 3-5 times that of WPC, and the FRP profiles are not easy to expand in hot and cold weather. WPC are soft in hot weather and brittle in cold weather. If the quality is not good, they will break easily.
FRP pultruded profiles have become indispensable in modern engineering due to their unique combination of strength, durability, and corrosion resistance. Below is a detailed breakdown of their applications across key industries:
Garden handrails, plank roads, pavilions
Structural Components: Window frames, door systems, and lightweight trusses for buildings in coastal areas (salt-resistant)
Bridge Systems: Decking, railings, and reinforcement elements that won't corrode
Architectural Features: Decorative moldings and façade elements with color-through manufacturing
Flooring Solutions: Anti-slip grating systems for industrial walkways and platforms
Power Distribution:
Insulator cross-arms for utility poles
Cable management trays and ladders
Transformer platforms
Telecom:
Non-conductive antenna mounts
RF-transparent tower components
Rail Electrification:
Third rail covers
Insulated cantilever arms
Industrial & Chemical Processing
Chemical Plants:
Full structural systems resistant to acid fumes
Pipe supports and ladder systems
Handrails for corrosive environments
Water Treatment:
Chlorine-resistant walkways
Scrubber structures
