After a year of independent design and construction, China's first anti wave floating photovoltaic platform, the main body of "Huanghai-1", has been completed and successfully loaded into the sea. It will be installed in the southern Yellow Sea area of the Shandong Peninsula and begin empirical research on floating offshore photovoltaics in China. At this moment, the platform weighing over 360 tons is slowly lifted off the ground by a huge crane arm. The lifting will last for over an hour. Afterwards, it will be fully translated onto transport ships at the dock and transported to offshore wind farms with a distance of 30 kilometers and a water depth exceeding 30 meters to begin subsequent research on offshore photovoltaic empirical data collection and analysis. This is the deepest floating offshore photovoltaic platform currently built in China. Designed according to the once-in-50-year sea conditions in our area, it can withstand waves up to 10 meters in height and is currently the floating offshore photovoltaic platform with the highest wave resistance capability in China.

The platform has a side length of over 25 meters and an area of approximately 1624 square meters, which is about the size of four standard basketball courts. The overall height is 9 meters, with a height of 7.5 meters above the sea surface, ensuring that in extreme sea conditions, waves will never surge onto the photovoltaic platform. The platform innovation adopts a hexagonal design and truss structure, with 64 plastic buoyancy blocks providing buoyancy. Compared with traditional offshore photovoltaic platforms, it can effectively reduce weight by about 25%.

The platform will conduct on-site monitoring and experiments at sea for up to a year, providing data support for the efficient and safe application of floating photovoltaic technology in the marine environment, while exploring the integrated development of "ocean pastures" and continuously promoting the three-dimensional intensive development and ecological protection of the ocean.

This platform is produced by fiberglass fabric and composite reinforced material(PVC/PET foam), Changzhou JLON composite is a company specializing in these composite material, if you have interest, please directly contact us through info@jloncomposite.com
